Centred on the River Finn, Glenmore’s folio of game fishing embraces a diverse range of venues and options for catching salmon, trout and sea-trout.

Two primary rivers comprise the Finn fishery; the Rivers Finn and Reelan. It is on these two spate rivers that most of the fishing is done. Around the head-waters are seven mountain loughs (lakes) where free-rising wild brown-trout to over 2 pounds may be caught.

One of the great strengths of the Finn fishery is that runs of both spring salmon and summer grilse are very strong. Fish are normally in the river in substantial numbers from opening day and runs of fresh fish continue on each spate throughout the season.

In the event of overly high or low water conditions, and in association with other fisheries, we can offer our guests access to beats on numerous other renowned salmon rivers. The River Mourne’s Sna beat, the Galway Weir, The River Moy’s Ridge Pool or the classic Carnroe Beat on the River Bann are just some of those available to us.

Expert Spey casting tuition can be organised with international instructors and highly experienced guides are available to all of our rods.  Parties are normally limited to five rods, giving a high degree of exclusivity and personal attention.

A full range of high-grade equipment and clothing is available for rental from the fishery and flies and lines may be purchased on site.

The season starts on March 1st and runs until September 15th
